We believe that there are many young people around Australia who are doing great things and often go unrecognised. That's why we have created a prestigious award that recognises groups of secondary students who have made great strides in using influence and creating impact as a team.

Each year, shortlisted are sent to a panel of high profile Australian leaders for judging based on the below criteria...

Entries

This award is open to secondary school students in Australia only.
Entries must be submitted via the online web form. Submissions close FRIDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2017, 5pm EST.
Shortlisted entries will be notified by email by the FRIDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2017.
Shortlisted entries will be sent to a panel of judges who will judge teams based on the criteria as outlined on the Halogen website.
The winning team will be notified by email by the 10TH OCTOBER 2017.

Publicity

It is a condition of entry that Halogen and major sponsor of the award, CPA Australia, has the right to publicise, broadcast and communicate the winners names and story for award promotional purposes.

Names of the winning team, their school and details of their story/achievement will be shared on the Halogen website, social media channels and via email with the Halogen database of educators and students.

The winning team’s story/achievement will be shared at Halogen’s youth leadership events for secondary aged students Australia wide (The National Young Leader's Day) and with various media outlets. Entrants may be asked to participate in photos, recordings, videos, film sessions or interviews. Media coverage is not guaranteed.

Multiple Entries

A school/organisation can submit multiple entries provided the projects are different in idea and outcome.

Late Entries

Halogen accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical malfunction of any communications network.

Prize

The winning team will receive 15 free student tickets and 2 free adult tickets to The National Young Leaders Day event (Ticket package valued at $1,000).

Each individual team member will receive a signed certificate of recognition and be formally congratulated at the event by a CPA representative. If in the instance a CPA representative cannot be present at the event to present the certificates, a representative from Halogen Australia will perform the duty. If in the instance students cannot attend the event, tickets will be valid for the school/organisation to use the following year and certificates will be posted to the school.

The winning team will also receive a Leadership Master Class hosted by CPA Australia. Every effort will be made to accommodate the school, however the date, time and location of the Master Class is subject to the schedule of the Master Class host/s.

The school/organisation contact that submitted the winning submission will be contacted by Halogen directly by email to coordinate the distribution of event tickets, certificates and to plan an appropriate date and time for the Master Class.
